The difference between being pansexual and bisexual 7 months ago · 0 Posts First of all, let me explain what each one is so you get a clear understanding.
Pansexuality is when an individual is attracted to others regardless of ones gender, biological sex or gender identity.
Bisexuality is when you are attracted to both males and females.
Bisexual people are attracted to both genders but pansexual people also can be attracted to someone that is transsexual for example as well. Pansexuality means that they don't care about anything to do with gender at all, they could be attracted to someone regardless of gender.
So, the difference is that bisexual people are just attracted to both males and females (two genders) which is why it's called bisexual (bi means two) whereas pansexual people are known as 'gender blind' as they can't help who they are attracted to and pan means all in Greek which makes sense.
Bisexual people are attracted to two genders, pansexual people are attracted to all people - they don't care about gender.
